Filthy Foxes Newnham Takeover
This is a women only event.
Online booking closes on Friday 16th September 2022 at 3pm.
We are opening the trails of Newnham Park to women only on Saturday 17th September from 9.30am-12.30pm. No timing, no pressure, just riding for fun.
You will follow a waymarked route made up of 3 loops giving you the option to repeat sections without having to go back to the beginning and start again. The full route will be around 4.5 miles long, and you will be able to go around as many times as you want to.
There will also be two coaching stations where you can practice your skills under the supervision of a qualified mountain bike coach.
The route will be made up of a mixture of wide forest tracks and fun singletrack. There won't be any scary sections, or any need to get your wheels in the air (unless you want to!). We will be including Cottage Return, Bluebell Woods and the Paintball run and will release a detailed map nearer the time.
The coaching stations will cover manuals (front wheel lifts) and descending technique. These will be drop in sessions where you'll be given a mini masterclass, followed by as much practice time as you want. The mini masterclasses will start at 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am.
Newnham Park is a private estate, and access is only allowed on event days, so this is a rare opportunity to ride the trails without being part of a race.
Minimum age: 12
Under 14s must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.
South West XC Series Round 5 - Sunday 18th September (Newnham Park).
Why not make a weekend of it by entering the SWXC Series event on the Sunday too?

Online entry for the SWXC closes on Friday 16th September at 3pm, but we will also be taking cash entries on Saturday 17th from any women who want to look at the trails during the Filthy Foxes takeover before committing.
Fully Sussed is run by husband and wife duo Maddie and Jay Horton. Prolific racers, and now race organisers and coaches, we have been on the mountain bike scene since the 1990s, and have racked up an impressive set of results in solo and pair competitions. We are more likely to be seen riding for fun and organising events these days.Follow Fully Sussed on Facebook
